Experienced All-Around Developer

About Me

I am a highly adept and experienced PL/SQL developer with over 25 years of experience in numerous technologies. These include Oracle, SQL Server, Pro*C, Perl, SSIS and more.

I started my career in 1994 with Tandy Corporation (now RadioShack) on the IBM AS/400 after receiving an accounting degree from TCU. I spent 4 years there doing retail for Computer City and Incredible Universe.

In 1998, started at RadioShack International Procurement and worked on Lotus Notes maintaining product development databases between Texas, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. In 1999, we implemented an import/export Oracle package where I led development of the purchase order piece, and I trained on the IBM mainframe to help with the Y2K transition.

In 2001, I started work on the Retek retail system which later became Oracle Retail. I led the store inventory part of the project. I managed about 150 reports written in Crystal Reports and Impromptu, providing development estimates. I also sharpened my Oracle tuning skills and did work on DB2, Tandem and MQ series.

In 2006, I left RadioShack to do some contract work and develop a website for my father's construction company while working in his organization.

In 2011, I went back into IT systems and started with Harely-Davidson Financial Services for a couple of years with focus back on Oracle development. Continued honing skills on PL/SQL and SQL during this time.

In 2013, I joined Electronic Transaction Consultants, LLC (ETC) and spent 11 years learning the tolling industry. Within a year, I designed and coded most of the back-office portion of a monthly billing application for tolling customers. I also was a key designer/developer on the CUSIOP (Central US Interoperability) Hub transaction processes.

With ETC, I designed and created a reporting application used across several tolling agencies allowing storage of SQL in a control table to render email notifications with cleanly formatted excel tables within the emails for all types of reporting, which included an internal scheduler.

In 2024, I left ETC and moved to Pennsylvania. I started working in SQL Server for contract with Apollo Technology Solutions, LLC for a data migration for a tolling agency. I then joined Risun Solutions, Inc, to implement an license plate validation list for another agency.
